Did float bowl mod. Whre r ur float lvls set at, and pilots
I got my bike running today. I was recently trying some 140 mains, I don't think this worked too well? So the only thing I had left was my 180s. I did the float bowl mod, and installed my 180s back in. On the zx7 site, Ken said that after doing this mod, u definetely won't need those rediculously large mains anymore. I think I'll be trying to get some 160s per his suggestion.
The bike does seem to have a different attitude after the float bowl mod now. I'm excited to see how it runs when I get it tuned just right.
I've got my pilots set at 1.75 turns out. I need to recheck my float level, cause the bike surges a bit, and the idle won't stay at a set idle(that might just be cause I'm out of gas, the fuel pump won't stop running after I turn the key?).
Not sure what to do with those hoses that are in the intake passages(on the head), as the float bowl mod pretty much eliminated these, I think?
Any suggestions on any of these settings?
As of today, I have a brand new factory pro 1.0 kit coming in the mail, I don't think I'll be using those larger 180-190-200 mains they'll be sending me. If they won't let me send it back, I guess I'll have it up for sale?
