New to it all

Hello all

Just purchased my first bike a 2001 zx7r

Don't even have a license yet but for the price I couldn't pass it up.

She was dropped so im switching out a set of skins, the shift linkage is bent up and muffler needs to be replaced

Bikes are going to be a new experience but im quite familar with vehicles in general I've got 10yrs of 40hr work week experience as an automotive electrical Tech. ASE and State Certified.

I drive an 04 GTP CompG. Hope to use all your wisdom to make my experience that much better. Thanks!

Here's a shot of my rides.

Rperry - Welcome here!! Like the rides...

You'll find a lot of the folks hang out in the General Forum, so to get quicker responses, you might post over there - but no worries...

One thought - As you do your repairs, you might consider doing the cosmetic things last... When you get your license & start riding, you might find that (occasionally) a few scratches come with the learning curve... Just sayin'...

Also - Take care learning on your new bike... There's plenty of time to go fast later!!

We'd like to see you here for a long time!!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Nice rides...

I do like those ZX7R's....sexy body lines on them. And those GTP's.....they are nice as well. I love Grand Prix's...owned MANY of them...but the Gen5 body is my fav. I own a '96 SE 2dr right now...gonna be my project car soon.

Welcome to the site.

That's a good looking 7R.
