I've been doing a little bit of research for this and i came across this site. I hope you guys can help me.

I've got a 96' ZX-6R that i want to fit an aftermarket silencer (exhaust can) to. However the exhaust i am interested (Micron Titanium tri-colour oval bolt-on) will only suit a 98 model or newer bike.

Does anybody here know if its possible to suit the 98model exhaust to a 95-97model bike :?:

I'd appreciate any help here guys! Thanks in advance.

The bike got a major overhaul in 98, I seriously doubt if they would mate up. Just from checking part numbers I would say no. The sites I visited listed different part numbers for the 95-97 and the 98-02. I didn't even see bolt ons listed for the 95-97, where they are obviously listed for the 98-02. It looks like the only option for your bike is a full system.
