And that's a wrap on another season.

Weather is changing really fast here in eastern Canada. Looking at the long range for cast not gonna be over 50 again. Time to prep the rides for their winter nap. Wasn't the greatest season for me,hand wrist surgery so missed over a month of riding time. So I only got around 9000kms /5400 miles, my lowest total in years. Hope to get more miles in next year.

I'm not done yet but it's getting close. I ride less and less into the winter every year, used to go till the roads were permanently covered in salt but now these bones are getting older and all those injuries from yesteryear have caught up. Body achs like mad after a long winter ride. Always very depressing when she gets wrapped up for winter but it does make the spring summer fall half of the year that much sweeter.

Calling for another brutal winter al. I had to go up on my roof at least 12 fucking times last year to take off the snow.Bought a sweet little awd rav4 recently to navigate through the country roads this winter. After putting up with power outages for 4 years i went out and bought a beefy generator at the beginning of last year, and i have not had to use it yet....go figuire. maybe if i buy a new snow blower...we will have a easy winter???

Lol that's how it goes. If you don't have it you'll need it, if you have it you won't need it. Always better to be safe than sorry in my book. A good output generator is never ever a bad thing to have. Used to have issues with snow on the roof of my summer cabin bought (after recommended by a local) some heat tape which is just an extension cord with a sensor on it than kicks on below a certain temp and heats up. Zig zag it up and down the bottom foot or so of my roof just above the gutters, run another length of it inside the gutter, prevents any freezing up or snow buildup of the drainage. Cost only a couple bucks and has saved me from a lot of work during the winter. I also run it around the pipes after draining them and has stopped all the split elbow fittings that I'd get every freaking spring. Just an idea, it's super cheap effective reassurance...

I sure hope it isn't anywhere near like last winter. Think my snowblower is still in shock.
