Ok went back to the deLer to see when the New 2014 zx14r would be in and they tell me they missed the first quarter order date, guess it's time to find another dealer!

What kind of loser dealer misses their chance to place orders? Here's the answer--------------> A BROKE ONE so it's probably not a good choice for a dealer anyway since they most likely won't be there much longer anyway.

Cobras67!
Mate I am going to throw my 2c in for what it is worth. I never owned a Harley but I have been a Kwaka man most of my life except for a brief period that saw me on a Triumph 595 Daytona & a ST Sprint, so I try not to comment on bikes unless I have actually ridden one.

Before I bought B2 I owned a ZX1000SX which I loved but decided that it was the time to move back to a real superbike.

Now I have ridden Busa's and enjoyed them but unless you have ridden a ZX14R you cannot possibly understand what they are like.

As for the fin's I hear your brother, but a Bagster tank bag & cover soon fixed that. My only thing is to very careful of the power of the ZX14R after riding a Harley.

Not long after getting off the Z1000 and climbing aboard the ZX14R the power got the better of me and I put B1 down hard and wrote her off. I have since learned to respect the beast and ride it with a bit more care.

I think you will enjoy it if you buy one. Best of luck mate listen to those that own one of these and know.

Every bike over a 600, there is "no place to ride them"... even they are over powered for speed limits etc.

And I cannot see the fins while I am busting a$$ down any road regardless of speed limits ;-)

I love my 2012 14.

buy the 14 and some good gear and go have the most fun you ever had on a bike,But once you ride a real bike you won`t go back to a cruiser.

I try to think but nothing happens NYUK NYUK

I hope I can help you with your decision . I am 40 and ridden all sorts of bikes since I'm 5 yrs old ... We'll I had an 06 m109r after not riding for 12 yrs and got the itch to get more handling oriented bike and so it was then I went and traded it in for an 07 gsxr1000 and a zx6r 07 as I liked them both for different reasons..then I added a 08 cbr1000 to my collection and sold it in 2011 .. I took off 2 years from riding as my mother died unexpectedly and my fiancé was shot and killed walking into store during a robbery ..was in no mental position to be on a rocket .. So in august 13 bought a v twin victory hardball bagger 106 ci .. Nice bike BUT MY URGE TO RIDE SPORT WAS BACK!! I ditched it for a 2013 ducati hyperstrada 821 and MY FAVORITE 13 ALL GREEN Zx14R with polished wheels ...The zx14r is an awesome bike and best bike I have owned .. It is fast and that's a given . actually it's F**king insane but what I love is how smooth comfy and quiet it is with great all around performance .. Handles great for a big bike lots of technology like power modes and traction controll that works awesome and abs brakes..Itas gobs of torque and also a very nice display like temp outside .. Fuel mileage trip meter shift light ect .. The bottom line is no bike does is perfect but this bike does a bit of everything we'll .so buy what you want and don't do what I did and cost yourself 2x .. Everyone I let ride my bike meaning my friends ended up loving it or buying a sport bike z1000 or similar .. I put 1inch bar risers on my bike big comfort enhancement for 10 min of work . An under tail kit and frame sliders , pazzo levers and polished and carbon fiber exhaust .. DO IT YOU WILL LOVE IT you can ride all day and won't believe how smooth and no vibrations compared to v twin .. just remember to respect this bike and don't ride it beyond your limits .. Ps don't let your friends ride it unless on low power mode traction controll 3 setting ..

I second the motion…buy that mother! I have a 2008 Goldwing and had just got rid of an FJR-1300 when I took a test ride on the 2012 ZX14R in green. Loved it right away and had never ridden sports bikes before. Just roll on the throttle at 55 mph without shifting down….instant grin and good therapy. So get some ZX14R therapy…...

Well it's been a minute since I've been on the forum and it's nice to see things are still moving.

I had the 07 ZX-14 and then moved to a 09 Concours after snapping the #3 connecting rod on my 14. I've been riding the Concours for about 4 years now and I Love the bike, but at 46 the Z-14R is calling my name.

Call it a mid-life crisis if you will....Oh hell, I'll call it a mid-life crisis (LOl). Whatever the case I'm getting the 14R.

Keeping one eye on faith, and the other on Mr. Murphy.
