Dealer has a brand new 2011 ZX14 on the lot, and is looking to get rid of it for their new 2012s.

I was offered a price of $11,500 and I think I could probably talk them to $10.5-> $11

Is this a good price for that bike? And more importantly are there any major known problems with the 2011 ZX14s?

$11.5k is too much. Try for about $10.5k out the door....I would offer $10k, personally.

No issues with the 2011...beautiful, reliable, machines.

Hmm, you think I could go that low? Well, ill give it a shot! I think its a pretty low volume dealership so I might not be able to get the best deal on earth but I would really like to see 10.5.

Also, its great to hear that they sound pretty bullet proof.

Would you say that they are comfortable enough for a reasonably long ride with a passenger? I am looking for something beefy for me but nice enough to handle two people.

300-500 miles in a day would be very comfortable and easy....with a couple of stops for eats or fuel, whatever. If you want to get an idea of how low the price can go, call John at Cycle World in NJ, and tell him Shane sent you...

You could buy it there, and ride it home...(weather permitting)...

Yea, I suppose I could have talked to the wrong guy. It would have to be $10k or a bit less for me to justify flying out there and riding it home/ shipping it up here.
