It needs to warm up a bit, it snowed last night!!

Hey do you ever go to the simply sport bike season kickoff ride?

Never heard of it....

Been to it a few times, loads of fun. They have a huge ride with nearly 500 bikes at like 11AM then once that's over (2-3ish hours?) they have some professional stunt drivers give a show.

I don't think they have a date yet but it's one of the reasons I bought a bike so early in the year! I didn't want to miss it like I did last year going bike less!

They normally do it very late May or early June.

Will have to see what's going on round that time. It'd be a blast to be out with a bunch of other sport bike riders....

Be different then the old beater cruiser crew I usually hang with now.......na...they do try hard on them v-twins and dinosaurs......

Some of these people are just nuts, they have the cops block off alot of the roads and the people at the front of this pack just go crazy! haha Iv seen a lot of 80MPH wheelies and people skiing on their feet at this thing.

Yeah...we'll have to see. I'm not a wheelie guy myself...more of a hit the gas in a straight liner here...was starting to learn the fine art of high speed twisties last season before med probs took me out half way into the season....

I'm addicted to the acceleration myself. I love it. The top end is nuts too...

Yea, I wasn't implying that YOU or I have to do such things but they are fun to watch for sure!

Oh..I know.....Sometimes I type things in such a way that it gets misinterpreted.....(ehHEM)....it has rubbed a few here the wrong way from time to time...

Only reason I don't try that stuff on my 12R (intentionally anyways) is it costs too damn much when things don't work out...

Was thinkin about trading my 2001 Yammy Raptor off for a 600-900cc sport bike that I could put a cage on and perfect the wheelies and other crazy stuff....it is crazy as hell to see someone doing a wheelie at 80 for sure....brass balls...or no brains..or a combination thereof...who knows....braver than I.
