Not to be a wet blanket, but with the 2012 14R's going for $13-ish, you couldn't sell me a 2011 for ANYWHERE near $11K.
...but if I was trying to buy a 2011, I'd start with an offer of about $9k even and let them think about it for a few days. Dealers know they don't want the 2011's around with the numbers this 2012 is putting down. ...and for Pete's sake, when you talk to them about the '11, you have to convince them that you REALLY don't want an '11, and you're doing them a favor by taking it off their hands. ...(because you are!)

Disclaimer: I should probably add that salespeople usually hate me by the time our transaction is complete... because I'm a cheap SOB and I always think I can score the deal of the century. LOL

Dealer here has 2011 ZX-14 for < 11K. Plano Kawasaki & Suzuki in Plano, TX.

Talk to Jason at 972 422-4111. Good people and don't be afraid to ask for a deal, all they can say is no, and if your lucky they might say yes. I just got a new 2012 ZX-14R Green for < 13K out the door by asking the dealer to match an internet price. I said it more as a joke, not expecting them to accept the offer, but they did and I bought the bike!

It wasn't at Plano Kawasaki, but they said they would match that deal, so you can probably get that price for a new 12 model.

The black and green is a beauty, I almost bought one last year. I have a 14R now, but the Gen 1 is an awesome bike that you will love!!

Trust Me.. You can't go wrong with * ANY * Zedex-1400 if its in good condition.. They all will do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and pull 180 plus.. Just bought an 07' with 14k on it.. will have the valve adjustment done at 15k and its good for a while.. Has Michielin Pilot's, Yoshi Cabon's, I took the Flies out & did a Power Commander.. Its Black on Black and Mean as Sh*t.. Setup properly, There is " NOTHING " like a Zedex 1400... Enjoy the Moment..

So, I essentially said fk-it and bought a brand new 2012 ZX14R in black. $13,500 + warantee + TTL so after I pay everything I am sure it will be around 15k which seems fine to me for basically the most comfortable, most beastly bike I have ever sat on with a 5 year unlimited mile warantee...

PS. I am not huge into modding, maybe a slip-on exhaust at the most....

Very pricey, but the best dual system out there. I am not sure about the slip-on options for the 14R, but there should be some coming down the pike...

lol yea, ill probably end up waiting on that, $2,000 is a bit steep for some better looks. You know, right after spending 15k and all!

You will also pick up as much as 12 hp on top, and a lot in the midrange too...and the bike will lose around 30 lbs in the process. But either way, you are going to love it. I kind of liked the big pipes, they fit the bike well. Very stealthy, and still very powerful...not so different from a NINJA!
