I have a 06 ZX14 that needs some new tires. I currently have Sinko's on the front and back. What would you recommend for best performance, handling and milage?

Thanks

Take it from me, Dunlop 207.

NO, I said D207. Q2 would spin in the sleet at 45 psi through 4th gear...and that was a zx9r. Clearly the 207 is better because of this.

Many people LOVE the D207! Vincent Hill has run them, and I believe our very own Warp12 has too. I've run the 208 because that is what was on the back of my bike. All 3 of us have run them at Maxton, they are the best.

In case you guys didn't figure it out I was joking. Q2s are great.

I just mounted Michelin pilot power 2ct's and love the way it makes the 14 feel in the corners. I have heard good things on the new Michelin power purte as well. Lot of folks raving over the Q2's as well. Just about anything is better than the stock Bridgestones, they sucked.

I saw the article,as you say mate, good info! I bought the Pure...er..purely for a track day, after 4 sessions the sides were showing severe wear already,so I just left them on and rode them puppy's to pieces! If I could afford it,I would really use them more, but the ct2's are far better choice for normal street riding and last way better! Anyone tried the BT 023's yet? Anyone?

2ct's

i have used the michelin 2ct's and am going to stick with them! they grip great in corners , high speed and at the dragstrip. I am one of the few who don't have to do a burn-out to warm my tires at the strip and always get excellent traction. If anything I might check out the pures next, but I will 4sure stick with michelin!!

I was happy with the OEM Battalax 014 and got 3200 miles out of them.

My dealer gave me a good deal on Dunlop Q2's when it was time to replace them. I am pretty happy with them also. I am at 2000 miles on the Q's and I am guessing that I will get similar life to the OEM 014.

I am not a good enough rider to sense the tires sliding on curves. Hell, maybe I am not sliding at all. My chicken strips are about the size of a small finger. I guess that means I will be happy with most any good sports tire - to me, that's not a bad thing.

Best tires for ZX14

I got my 14 new January 2010 with BT014's. With running in and getting used to the bike I still needed a new back at 2000miles. On various recommendations I also had Pilot Road 2 fitted. They dont feel as sticky as the Bridgestones but after 4500 miles of their use I am more than confident as to their ability. A pal says I go faster in the wet for some reason, be that as it may the Michelin's have done me proud. The wear indicator seems to suggest I could do another 2000 miles before change. With prices going through the roof here in the UK I dont think I could do the mileage I do if we were only to be offered BT014's!!

I'm a strong believer on the PR2's. Had them on my 07 ZX-14 and my 09 Concours. with the concours I upgraded to the PR3's but found they wore faster on the left...at least for me they did. Went back to the PR2's with no issues.

On a 2013 ZX-14R with Metzler M5's, will be getting the PR2's as soon as they wear.

Thinking of trying the PR4's but will wait to see what the masses say since this is the first year for them
