Need engine dimensions

Im building a buggy and would like to use a zx14 engine. I was wondering if somebody could get me a ballpark figure on length and width of just the engine. If possible id like to get the length to the center of the rear sprocket. Thanks a lot.

All measurements approx:

Height: 28.5" ~ From drain plug to top of cam cover bolt.
O/A Length: 17.5" ~ Overall length from edge of brake pedal to longest point of the case balancer snout.

Measure Point Approx without pulling sprocket cover off: 13" ~ From 'center of sprocket' to front of engine oil cooler block/front down radiator hose; both being about equal plane to the eye at the 90° angle. Compensate for balancer snout or clear buggy's down tube for front snout

Width: 21" ~ Front of engine from stator cover to crank covers.

Run the [OEM] curved tube out of the frame to air cleaner housing attached to the frame. Go to a motorhome type parts store, bring the intake tube and a K&N kind of set up. You need to install something in the middle of the OEM intake boot and the filter. Best thing is match some sort of 'gray water parts' is ask for that shelf to MeGuyVeer you over to that selection of parts; is one choice to tackle that plumbing connection.

Hey Hub...show him a pic of your bike...that'll give him a clear idea of what you're talking about with the ram air thing.

You seem to be the man with some information. The game is to fit ZX14 headers to ZX12R. They are very close and ZX14 headers fit the cylinder head for side winder but not sure about the length of the pipes to clear the oil pan and oil filter on 4-2-1 system. I'm looking to get a ZX14 Akrapovic titanium system as ZX12R system is no longer available. I just started a tread in ZX12R forum if you like to have a look. Only real problem is the headers if they fit or not, rest is an easy mod. ZX14 pipes are little bigger and With PCV and jetting the ZX14 system should and would come alive on ZX12R. So if you have some Measurements From the top of the exhaust hole/port to the lowest point of the oil pan in millimetres would help a lot. Also I haven't found a good picture of the ZX14 oil filter with the headers to compare to the ZX12R oil filter and clearances. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
