what i don't get is all that money... and they can't even do a simple ceramic coating on the hot side of the turbo? nothing looks worse then a rusty ass turbo housing.

No sir... The wastegates (red things) are fully functional based on spring pressure.... Those hook ups your misunderstanding r not to actuate the gates...

They are actually there so u can hook up compressed air to them... Lets say u want 10 psi in first and second but 40 in the rest.... U put a ten pound wastgate spring....

Then in first and second u run off that spring... In 3-6 your boost controller send pressure to those fittings on top of the wastegates and if u wanted 40 psi boost then u send 40 psi of pressure to the top of the wastegates.. The air pressure on top of the gates keeps them closed until it surpasses the pressure on top of the spring...

I forget if 10 lb spring needs 30 psi on top to make 40 psi of boost or if u just put 40 psi on top and be done...

So yeah ive now wasted more time than the others who tried to point out your mistake... Ur welcome.

You don't know what you're talking about. If NO air lines are.connected the waste gate wont open, or will barely open when enough backpressure in the exh builds up
So boost goes crazy high. Almost like there's no gate at all. Waste gates operate on spring pressure and air pressure. There's a diaphragm connected to the valve inside. The spring is on the top. Lets imagine a 10 psi spring to keep things easy. You connect the bottom port of the gate to manifold pressure. When manifold pressure reaches (in this imaginary case) 10 psi boost pressure equalizes spring pressure and the valve starts to open. This bypasses the exh gasses from spinning the turbo any faster so boost doesn't get any higher (in a properly designed system) if you want to run more than our purposed 10 psi there's 2 ways. One way is to bleed off pressure from the signal line so that not all of the boost being made reached the bottom of the gate. Lets say we bleed

Having a hard time.typing on my phone. Continued ...
Lets say we bleed off 50% of the boost on the signal line. At 10 psi the gate is only getting 5 so not enough to open the spring. It takes extra to actually get 10 in the gate to open
the second and better way is to add pressure to the top of the gate. This way is easier to regulate. So if we have a 10 psi spring in the gate and we apply 5 psi of pressure to the top of the gate (on the same side of the diaphragm as the spring) we now have a gate that acts like it has a 15 psi spring so it now starts to open at 15 psi of boost pressure

Its the most basic part to not eff up or you will have issues!!! Dont believe me? Try hooking the line to the top instead of the bottom lol. The turbo will make whatever boost it can and blow up the best parts money can buy.
