Hey Guys, havent been here for long time,
but I guess Im back :)

For now Im riding with out stator which makes huge differenc in engine speed.
However it is a bit to tiring because of lack range.

My question is how much W I need to keep motor runing 250W?
What to build lightweight charging system.

Does any one know that?

Best Regards
Tom

the stator or any charging system takes a certain amount of power to run, I have no idea of the amount but it could be upto 10hp or even higher (I have picked this number out of my head) I recently watched a youtube show "engine masters" it was great and showed the power sapping of a fan on the front of a motor using uptown 50hp
sorry tomever for the thread hijack Craig

the problem running just on battery is as the battery weakens so does the bike, and once the charge system gets below 12.6 any problems can arise, I hate being stranded they are too heavy to push craig

Engine speed (maybe its language barrier) means how fast engine getting on revs.
Magnet which works with stator weight 1200 grams, so with out it engine is lighter of that mass,
crunk is lighter (spinning faster).
In cars people often mount lightweight flywheel to achive such result.

From what I experienced You can ride on battery up to 9v, this is the lower value to really hurry up getting back home :)

Now Im thinkng about lightweight magnet, tuning setups cost a lot, so I have to solve it by myself.

RECTIFIER assembly sh847 (50Amp and no high RPM issues) ( 32800-31J00 ) does not shunt the unused voltage to the ground creating heat and unnecessary load like other regulators , sh847 lets the a/c generator produce only as much voltage as the system needs to keep it at about 14.5 v. Then use LED bulbs to further reduce the need for wattage , not as extreme as no rotor magnet at the end of the crank but much better then OEM charging system .

maybe something from a small dirt bike could be retrofitted
