The old question...

Okay I am due to head out for a 4000mile tour and obviously need to sort my tyres out...

Anyone have any advice on what to go for here in Europe?

I will be sticking to standard sizes so 200 rear etc etc... looking for a Sports Touring tyre preferably...

Many thanks...

Edit Forgot to say it will be a mix of Autobahn and Twisties...

Garage
With 8mm tread depth there going to last over 4k miles. and there cheap at the moment due to the newer Sprint ST coming out.

Storm 3D X-M 200/50ZR17

Storm 3D X-M | Avon Tyres

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters are more useful than saying the year, for uk owners anyway, as registration year is not always year of manufacturer model.

I've been using shinko 009 Raven tires (W rating 168 mph). Inexpensive and last a log time. I run 190 in the rear though, not a 200, I do notice I can turn better with it.

If you are planning on going faster (or constantly at) than the speed rating, I would look for a different tire. I haven't ever gone over 150, and that was one time in Mexico...

I'm on my 3rd set of Diablo SuperCorsa SPs. Best tire I've ever used Feel and grip is unmatched but they don't last for shit as is the case with real sticky tires

Nah good on the oil point... it's black and liquid... but thanks for the options as I am not super happy with the Dunlops I have and the Bridgestone S20's well it ate those as a minor snack though while on they did a good enough job for me...
