I would assume all ecu's come with the same standard map, unless someone has reprogrammed it.
The mileage is kept in an eeprom chip in the clocks/meters.

But before you plug in the new ECU, remove and do multi meter checks on each stick coil, as a shorted one of these can blow the ECU, and may of caused your problem in the first place.

Measure the resistance through the meter first so you don't mistake this reading as part of the coil winding.

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters are more useful than saying the year, for uk owners anyway, as registration year is not always year of manufacturer model.

Picture how to's can be found here, but the tech diagram above for values on the 12. zx-9r.net ? View topic - Sensors, Cam, Pick up and spark plug Coil Checks.

Well it's running again!
Changed both the fuses under the battery for the second time..
Did the job!

Thx for all the tips and trics, learned a lot but am happy as a child that its running fine.

This sunday i'll go to TT Assen with my little boy. Bought a cheap but very nice working intercom so we can chat during suspected traffic jams ;-)
