Just picked this up on the cheap...

For $500, how could I not pick this up. Engine and transmission are supposed to be good. If so, I have always wanted a streetfightered 12R

Bargain at twice that.

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters are more useful than saying the year, for uk owners anyway, as registration year is not always year of manufacturer model.

I have not had a chance to really look at it close, but my guess is that it probably has at some point.

Just got a 2000 zx12r

I just purchased a 2000 zx12 with 14k miles. The bike appears to pull hard to the left and has very heavy steering. Is it the nature of these bikes or is there something wrong with this one?

You really should start your own thread.
No, the steering should be more neutral. Check for a worn front tyre, rear wheel alignment, forks are straight. There are probably other thing but check the obvious first.
