Weird issue with fairing fit

Hi all, after storing the bike for the winter, I have found that there is a small gap between the bottom end of the two side fairings where they meet eachother towards the rear wheel. I cannot see any cracks or obvious bends and the little metal bar holding the two sides together appears fine, but one side sits a a few mm lower than the other side and the fit between them is no longer flush, so you can see a horizontal space between them where they are supposed to meet flush. I can't see any other screws or tabs there than holds the two sides together. Any idea where I could start with this?

And yes, it is annoying the f&&ok out of me and no I can't live with it ;)

Here is a picture of it. You can see left side sitting lower, and the gap in between...

The only thing I can suggest in the absence of any obvious alignment issue is to remove the fairing and re-fit?

It looks like all tabs are in the right place, nothing hit the bike while storing it?

Don.

Thanks Don. It may have had a slight love tap from the car, but no sign of cracks in the fairing....

I think this part of the fairing is a terrible fit from new, Kawasaki could have made this much better but they didn't....think 1 person designed 1 side and another person designed the other lol....

Exactly! one thing I noticed upon more careful examination is that one side fairing also sits a couple mm in front of the other towards the middle bottom where the second (middle) cross bar holds them together. I did an oil change recently so I wonder if somehow the front v shaped middle peice fit is off but don't see how it could be....

Mine mismatch a bit. Make sure the nesting tabs are properly nested. That's about all you can do. This is so very minor, imho.
No one sees it but you, and only when you're down that low, and only when you're thinking about it.
