New ZX-12R owner

This sweet baby followed me home Sunday. '01 Ninja with 8200 on the odo, pristine, and vintage. She is in the shop getting new tires and a wellness check since the former owner let her sit for some years. I paid 2800.00. She was a steal, part of a divorce settlement and the owner wanted it gone ASAP.

Wow, such low miles!

The '00-'01's are kind of their own thing compared to the later models (I have an '02).
They are very enjoyable, and somehow seem to have gotten quite a bit of loyalty from us owners.

Congrats. Awesome score! 3 years ago bought a 04 model with 3k miles on it which was a score, and if I ever see a low mileage gen 1 like yours, I'd bring it home too!

I actually put the bike in the shop the day after I bought it for a thorough tune up, oil/filter change, etc... and new tires, since the former owner didn't know how long the bike had sat. I am sure my mechanic will hand me a large bill, but better safe than sorry.
