-2 this morning, couple of inches of snow. For the first time since I got this bike back in May it's not going to get ridden this week :frown2: Not really going to have a better time to take a dive inside. Just some findings. Stock y2k, have owned since 5500 miles, now coming up on 12.5k.
Three days and it's here. That's service. Can't get these locally and the dealer is 20 minutes away. Boss called a snow day today. This time of year if you want an excuse to work on your bike, wash your car just days before :zxred:
The vendor of these seals was terrific to deal with. Emails me a picture of the bike he owned and the impression it left. I wonder if it's still around today.
To date everything that I can remember and bike has never seen a dealer since saying adios. Valves, suspension, steering, wiring, sparkplugs, tons of oil and filter changes, brakes, tires, synch, clutch, bearings/ seals, chain, sprockets, primer, paint, and thee latest in clear coat tech. Trying to stick with the book and keep maintenance in the rear view mirror. And dat buggah is da fastest on both sides of the Mississippi :rockets:
More maintenance. Bike was getting hot, lights starting to flicker. Voltage was always read low but the bike never got hot so fast until the last few months. Sidecover 200° in just minutes. Without testing anything had a hunch what it would be.
