Engine Help

Hello All,

Im based in the UK and currently have a ZX12R in a kit car. I always loved the idea of a bike however was to scared i would hurt myself so got this instead.

I dont have much history on the engine or much knowledge so your advice would be grately appreciated.

I have identified that the engine mounts are on the exhaust side are in line with the 2 outer exhaust ports and that the throttle body has a single butterfly. Also the ECU code is ZX12 1200 (21175-1065, 112100-0470) . I believe this to be an A1 or A2 engine however support would be appreciated.

Also i feel that the engine retards when i pull away? is there a restarder on these like the ZX10?

My 2000 A1 ecu # is 21175-1069. A1 will have two big plug receptacles.
Engine mount holes are indicative of a 2000-2001 model.

Yes
2000 = A1
2001 = A2
2003 = B1

and I think '04 AND '05 are B2? But i could be wrong.

Have you got a slipper clutch in there yet?

There's nothing wrong with a extra wheel. A1 Model year 2000
