old fan temp switch 00-01

anyone have a old temp radiator switch from a 00-01 zx12r. mine stopped working and i do have the manuel switch on it, but before i pull mine i am looking to see if anyone has one, does not need to work as i am going to go to auto parts store and match one, from some reading a honda accord one will work and it has a lower temp to turn fans on at 180d, yes i can pull mine, but i dont want to drain out my engine ice coolant till i know i have one that will match up

The original is just fine but this is what I want a switch that is lower temperature for city riding. At mountains and riding at speed the fan next to never needs to come on.

Please let us know how you went and what you used. The right one will make the manual switch not needed.

A quick trawl through the net showed that zx12mark has fitted a 180 degree fan switch with good results, maybe he could provide the details?

Mark, is this correct? does it still function well?

I will be ordering one of these later today after work because I too live in a traffic and stop light rich area which loves to warm my bike up quickly and continually. Hopefully it fits and is actually 180 degrees

Thanks for the info

Let us know how you go with it please.

We don't have Autozone in Aust. that I'm aware of after web search. I tried a couple of similar sites in Aust. but unable to ensure same part. I then contacted Autozone in USA who said they would send internationally, but would have to ring me to get my credit card details and not to put it over the net!?

If anyone in Aust. knows of where to get the same part here please let me know.

Don.

I'd found that the other day too, contacted the company and was told about providing credit card details by phone, which could be interesting given the time difference! Plus any extra shipping cost to Aust.
