topbox or toppcase available?

Hi all, i'm looking for a case or topbox on my bike.
The regular brands don't seem to have one: Shad, Givi. Only Hepco & Becker has a rack for the back. But it replaces the backseat so its not an option.
I tried to write all listed ZX-12r here in Holland but no succes.
Looked at ebay but still nothing.
What brands do (or id) deliver a rack for the ZX-12R 2000?

Btw: we didn't made it to the finals of the european soccer championship..

More on this site then on my ZX-12R

Ventura have a solution. I just ordered l brackets for my A2, box and plate, grab rail. Also bagged the top box rack (you'll need one of those) and touring pack loop fitting off eBay. Yorkie speaks highly of the latter with the 51 litre pack as do other friends. Can't vouch for the top box. It's small but should fit a helmet. I'll post once I've got it fitted and in use.

Are u hell bent on a hard case? I bought an Ogio half soft half hard tail pack and it works fantastic, looks good, when expanded can hold a full face helmet or a weekends worth of clothes no problem. Btw, soccer? Cmon now.... Lol just kiddin ya

As stated Ventura do a good rack/bag setup. The rear seat can still be used with the rack positioned facing back. I have two bags that zip together to form a "dome" shape, holds a lot of packing space. look on their site for pics of the setup (i can't easily post pics through this bloody ipad!).

Don.

There are many occasions when soft luggage is great.
There are also many occasions when a hard topbox is invaluable. I fit one on occasion just to stop the old lady falling off the back. It is also really useful as a semi/secure place to leave stuff with the bike... Helmet, gloves etc.

I did find a ZX12R Givi rack after a bit of looking. It wasn't for sale, it was on a bike that was for sale. I just asked the guy if he'd sell it separately. Keep an eye on bike adds in eBay, your more likely to find the Givi arms on a bike than on their own.

It is worth noting that I did have to revert from a pretty, aftermarket undertray to the original. The way the Givi arms attach at the rear or the subframe won't work, certainly not with the Pyramid undertray that I had.

If at first you don't succeed....take a longer run up!!

Information. If you manage to find a set...

Bracket just visible above rear indicator. I just leave them on rather than wrestle the plastic fairing off to remove them.

This is exactly what I did to find a set of arms last month. I was looking at a 12R for breaking on eBay and noticed that on one of the pics it had a Givi rack fitted. Messaged the seller and agreed a price of £70. They are out there though.

That's what I have, it looks like a small space ship on the back of the bike when the rain cover is fitted. I also have the bagster tankbag system with the Alfa bag.
Like you I have some thick padding under the front bag to transfer the heavy bag weight onto the rear seat and off the rack.

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters are more useful than saying the year, for uk owners anyway, as registration year is not always year of manufacturer model.

Its the second rack I've had to buy for the bike - the 1st one sheared off where the rack slides into the L brackets, and I think its because the bag on the seat hangs lower than the bag on the rack. So, as you've noticed I've lifted it up. Its actually my rain jacket/pants rolled up into a bag that clips around the pillion seat, but if I need to use my rain gear I just put my water bottles into that bag.

My tank bag is a Nelson Rigg, it uses Suction cup mounts and a strap that goes under the steering stem which all works fine

This is what I made for the job, some 1cm thick matting folded over 3 times and lots of gaffer tape, and an extra bit of tape to wrap round and under the seat just to stop it from thinking about sliding off.
You reminded me to cut some up for BikerX. I suppose you could use a sleeping bag camping mat to cut up, there cheap enough.
