Regulator and ECM question

So my regulator cooked my ecm, so I will be needing both. Can anyone tell me what part numbers are compatible with my beast? And did they ever change the regulator on these or will any year work? Sorry, last question, worth it to spend the extra $$$ for a Ricks?

if that picture is of your ECU then you have a 2001 A2 not a 2000 A1

I have a spare 2000 ECU 21175-1069 if your interested

2000 is a 16 bit ecu and does not interchange with any other years
2001 is a 16 bit ecu and is Pin compatible with 2002,2003 models
2004 is a 32 bit ecu and is also found on 2005 model not interchangeable with any other years

year ecu
2000 21175-1069
2001 21175-1079
2002 21175-1089
2003 21175-1089

2004 21175-0038
2005 21175-0038

I believe the 04-05 B2 was the only change and I'm not sure they are a replacement for your application without replacing the stator too. The Ricks unit is good but, I can say that was what I had in my bike when I experienced the same as you. In hindsight the failure may have been entirely my fault as I think I carelessly cut all the wires at once when performing the stator/rectifier fix causing the short ( I had a couple brews that night ). I would go with the most cost-effective choice. I dont think the Ricks is any better option than oem. Just my .02.

I had a Rick's regulator in my bike, and it worked just fine. I did cut the plug and hard wire it.

Well I'm completely lost. New stator, new computer, new junction box, all new fuses, still nothing. What am I missing? What are the two relays by the j box with the two fuses? Blinkers work so there is power but nothing happens at all when I turn the key. Tried disconnecting the power commander, still nothing. Did I fry the switch too?

This may be a long shot, but take apart the on/off/start switch on right clip on and clean the contacts. This happened to me once with my 01 that sat for 3 years. I rode it out some distance and when I went to restart it did nothing. After about 3 hours of checking this and that I took the switch apart and it was full of cobwebs cleaned it out and bam good to go haven't had a problem since.

Side stand and neutral switch can be bypassed by pulling the clutch when starting. Unless they're completely fubared.

Wear is the vehicle down switch? Thing is when I turn the key on it does nothing, dash doesn't light up, nothing at all. Like it's still off. I don't see any burnt wires anywhere. Was hoping it was just a relay somewhere.
