Hello everyone! My first post on this forum and as expected it is a question to all you 12`s guru.
So, I have a 2004 ZX12 with full Akra, k&n, kleen mod and PC3 USB on, I was ready to buy muzzys ignition advancer, but then a great deal on PC3 ignition module popped up. The problem is that this module is from 2007 busa, so is it possible to make it work with my PC3 USB? Thank you a lot!! And greetings from sunny Greece!
Based on that, I would say plug and play, no. If you are tech savvy and want to splice it into the harness of your 12, it could. I'm sure the only difference is the plugs for the bikes harness....
Why not do dave potters timing advance mod? Is there any gain with the module? Or just more flexibility in when u advance... or by how much? I know max is 6 degrees on dp mod.
One of the main problems with a static advance is hot-start problems. Not everyone has had this issue, but some. I've done it to a couple bikes over the years and indeed there are hot start issues, especially with too much advance. Dynamic adjustment is ALWAYS better. Then you can get a proper tune and have a better performing bike. That's one of several ways they restrict these things.
as I understand the ignition module of pc3 is same thing for every model, the difference is in wires and plugs right?
Something else, if I finally decide to go with muzzys advancer lets say +4 degrees, do I have to change my current map? If yes, should I add +4 degrees in advance table in whole rpm line or there is no point in doing this because advance will be added statically in whole range?? Don't know if I confused you guyz
