Fairing kits (Chinese)

All being well on a compression check next week, I'm going to completely re-vamp my zx.

I like the red or black West kits but unsure about quality, I know there are reviews on Ebay etc but it's very hard to judge if they're genuine or just another rival company slating to create bad vibes around another. I'd also be mighty pissed if any part of it cracked under tension after a while

Another option is a re-spray, which I could get done for around £300.

Based on anybody's exp, which is better, stick to OEM and spray, or replica kit?

Cheers.

The only aftermarket copies I have ever seen were flimsy and did not fit too well and that's three different sets, the paint on them is fairly good, well it was on two of the sets anyway the third was poor all round and cracked within a week because it was permanently in tension because of poor fit.
I would go for paint or even vinyl wrap before I would buy one of the ebay fairings.

I feel like my Chinese plastics were a waste of money. I'm hunting down OEM plastics.

In our country even Chinese kits cost about $630!!! That's a fortune, as you can buy a big, nice car for $600!

OEM ones are hardly found, mainly used and\or removed from a stolen bike, that's a common thing.

Ditto.

The two examples I have seen reminded me of a plastic butter container.

I don't know if you are cheap or want to do it right, if the latter take a look here:

That's what I have on my bike.

I guarantee it. Your computer is full of components that were produced by some Chinese company. Car electronics, cell phone, hell I bet there are bits of the 12 that were produced in China. It's a global economy...you can't get away from it.

I do not. I sold all my left over ABS to John my painter after I went fiberglass. I can call him and see if he still has them. I sold him 3 or 4 tails, two were like new.
