Roll ons against a hopped up ZRX 12

Rode home from work last night with Chris a buddy from work.
He has a 2002 ZRX-12 with the complete Muzzy 1224 kit that was featured in a bike rag a few months back. We did a few roll ons as there was too much traffic & cops for anything else. ( saw 5 cops in 13 miles WTF)
Anyway, from 65mph & lower he pulled my ZX-12 by about 4 bike lengths until around 110mph when I started reeling him in & by 130 I was sailing past him.

From 75mph & up it was no contest. My ZX-12 pulled smartly away from him & just kept increasing the distance.

As stated, he has the full Muzzy 1224 kit with stock gearing.
I have a 2000 ZX-12 with a 17 tooth front sprocket, full Yosh RS-3 exhaust, & a Yosh EMS box with a 5% leaner fuel curve.
He was in 5th gear. I was in 6th.
Last year when he was totally stock, I was able to pull him from 60mph on up. Guess his kit did help him. We haven't got to go all out yet. After he is broken in we are going to go full out from both a dead & a rolling start. The ZX will still destroy him but it won't be as lopsided as last year.

Also got a customer who bought a ZZR-12. he thinks he will clean the clock on the ZX-12. He is the one I'm waiting for. :D Is it wrong to take candy from a baby?

Don't mean to sound like the bully picking on other Kaws. But the 1 or 2 Busas in this area haven't been out to play. Also these Kaws challenged me. The ZZR has to finish his break-in. Said he had it up to 170 indicated the other day & it was still pulling. I will feel guilty during that race, I'm a reserve cop, & he is a motor vehicle insurance big shot. I think that race will be held over the state line in Wyo. Just in case.

Those ZZR's sound like they run pretty good. Should've used ZX-12R power though.

I hate stupid people.

Muzzy 1224 kit??? What is that I have never heard of that. All I am aware of is the 1270cc bigbore and the 1361 stroker and the 1317 big block with stock crank kits...

ZXLNT, yes, the 1224 is what Muzzy's offers for the ZRX-1200. It's a different displacement than the choices available for the ZX-12R, since the ZRX-1200 is a ZX-11 based engine, pretty much not interchangeable for parts.

I've rode several ZZR-12s that we have sold, have to test ride them prior to customer taking delivery. I haven't got to ride over 4 or 5000 rpm on one yet as I don't abuse peoples machines. I am looking forward to riding one that is broken in sometime though. It has more torgue & HP then the ZRX but it isn't going to bring down a ZX-12 in all out speed or acceleration. It is like a pumped up ZX-11, very nice, & fast. :P
There aren't many high performance bikes in the Black Hills area to have contests with so we just kind of get together & run what ever we have.
Lucky for me I am one of only 2 ZX-12s in this area that I know of.  I am thinking of buying a ZZR-12 for a second bike. More comfortable for long hauls, big fuel tank, & no slouch either. But it could never replace my ZX-12. :D

I have got to ride a ZZR1200 without worring about the rpms, and you are right, it will be like taking candy from a baby. Less power, more weight, worse aerodynamics. Easy win for the 12R. But they are nice bikes and if the body didn't look like it does, I would like to have one for cruising (with a turbo).

You can never have enough power!
