Ill admit I wasnt really a fan when I first saw the first pics of the 2012 but after seeing one in person it is without a doubt the baddest liter bike ive seen to date. Looks totally different in person if that makes sense. And no I didnt take any pics but it was a black and green model. Looked amazing and the feel of the bike just sitting on it was incredibly satisfying ![]() Thats all, thought Id share. I went in looking for a 2012 14R but itll be a few more weeks so ill go back then and fondle it too. they had a 08 10R with 1800 miles for 7900$ same color scheme. Still had the 08 inspection sticker on it so its been in the garage since then.

I'm a big fan of the 10r. I don't know which bike I would switch to once the 12r died (God forbid!) The 12r was already a big jump for me in terms of power... I completely skipped over having the 600-1000cc sport bike experience with killing the twisties... so the 10r is appealing to give me awesome acceleration and yet still be nimble enough around corners... but the 14r is just... fucking awesome. ![]() Oh well... it'll be years before I have to make that decision... I hope

I wouldn't mind finding a 10r with a popped motor and giving her a going over just to have a liter bike. Figure if one could find a donor bike reasonably priced it wouldn't be that expensive overall

Power output is very peaky, like a 600 with 50 more hp up top.

Last summer when I was trying to decide which liter bike I wanted, I had the pleasure of test riding the 11 zx10r through Kawasaki...It was amazing-the power, the handling...not the ergonomics though. The only problem is that at 6'3", it was crazy uncomfortable. I test rode a few other liter bikes and ended up going with the R1. I love it and am 100% happy with it over the 12. ---I still miss the 12 from time to time, not going to lie. |

My only gripe with the 11/12 ZX10R is the seat. Feels like you're sitting on a piece of plywood. Other than that, it's a badass bike for sure. A friend of mine, and quiet member here, bought one last year as an upgrade from an FZ600...it's a very capable machine. It'll keep up with my 12 any day of the week and maybe, just maybe twice on sunday...

rear would help with the lack of bottom end. It's a bike you sit on, not in (ass-up, head-down).
