Full synthetic or semi synthetic...what best for the 12r?

Last year I ran the full synthetic mobile 1 4t 10w-40....everyone I talk to says full synthetic is too slippery for the clutch and that it won't grab as strong as it should...what's you guys opinion on the subject, full or semi?

run it with a little bit of sand..... that will help the clutch grab.....lol

Seriously though...

I've never heard that to be an issue running synthetic.
There are people burning steels with synthetic. That wouldn't be happening if it was "too slippery"

Anyone with a reason why they are saying semi?
I've been running on bleedin' expensive Fuchs Silkolene fully synthetic for the last 8000 miles. The bike is running as well as it ever has. Clutch feels fine and the gear box is smooth.
Apart from the crazy cost of the stuff, I would like to know why not use good fully synth oil.

Ive just started to use the castrol 1 fully synthetic and my clutch has started to slip but this maybe is due to wear also on the clutch even though all springs and stack heights measure ok so i may go back to the rock oil gaurdian i have used in the past which is semi synth 10 40w. My clutch is also quite dry so i just think it maybe coincidental that slip has got worse since the oil change

Mob 1 MX4T or racing 4T, whatever it's called now, full synth, 10 years now, zero probs.

I use Mobil 1 4t, Castrol 4t, Valvolene 4t or what ever 4t synthetic oil I can find on sale. I service alot of motorcycles. 4t is for motorcycle wet clutch and if the synthetic doesn't have that 4t designation, it will either start slipping immediately or after some use. I found this out back in the early 90's when I did a Mobil 1 oil change on my 87 CBR 600 Hurricane. It ran like gangbusters, but the clutch would slip like crazy. Back then they didn't have the 4t synthetic.

Mobil 1 automotive. Full synth. No problems in 85,000 miles.
Of course, I'm running a much stronger and durable busa.....

I just grab the Nikkon (or whatever it's called) 15W50 Blended oil sold at the stealer every spring....sometimes 20W50....thinking I may try 10W40 this year. I can't tell that the increased viscosity is helping it run any cooler, but more like robbing it of power so,.....
