Hi guys! Since I just got my 12R a couple of months ago, I'm still trying to get familiar with where stuff are. Where is the battery located at :headscratch: On my 6R it's just under the seat. Sorry for being :lame:
Same theory as putting the gas tank under the seat. The more central and lower the weight, the less it affects the chassis as the fuel burns off and weight changes. Also makes the bike feel lighter and more eager to change direction.
put battery tender leads on it any you wont have to go in there until it takes a shit,, my CTEK charger works great! you can also leave the top bolt off the panel and then you wont have to take the bike apart to jump it!
+1 I have the same set up, so I just connect my battery tender in if I am not going to ride my bike for awhile and just have to deal with it when the battery decides to go SOUTH....good thing I have a lifetime warranty battery from CG
did you guys pull the battery all the way out to hook the battery tender leads up to the battery, or did you just hook it up to the negative lead on the battery and the positive lead on the battery box?
I put mine directly on the battery on both terminals.
