Block Off Plates

Hi ok so my bike is still popping on de-acceleration after de-Cat and de-Kleen so will Block off plates stop this...I only made up some block off bolts to fit the original holes...so I'm hoping that its leaking air a little and the proper Block Off’s do the trick...any thoughts anyone

Cheers Dave

I get asked everyday "what would you like to do today Dad" my answer is always the same GO OUT ON MY BIKE

I was running standard head pipes with a Yoshi end can and the Cat removed with block off plates in place and my bike still pops a little when decelerating.

I'm currently fitting a full Akrapovic Evo system, Ill also check the tightness of the block off plates and let you know if she still does it.

Damn emission controls!

I don't have block off plates, always been a fan of the "sucker mod" myself.

Sucker mod = plumbing the crankcase vent into the reed valves.

Home of the appropriately colored money pit.

Mine's all done with well sealed ivan's block off plates but still pops and cackles when i shut down the throttle at higher revs. Sounds like my ducati when it shakes the manifolds loose. Pc3 all dyno setup so I don't think I'm ever going to stop it. Must admit I quite like the attention when I come into a village and slow rapidly to well under 30 like a good citizen.

If at first you don't succeed....take a longer run up!!

If you're not sure you have a good seal than properly installed block off plates could help. They also look better IMHO.
