directions

thanks, and what u have to do is put the headlight in ur oven at 350 deg. for about five min. dont wory it wont melt. it will just be warm. then pop open the 4 or 5 clips (plastic) then slowly pry apart. uses lite gloves it will be hot. they use some type of glue or tar to seal the light. i used a chevy starter casing to make my mold. if u want bigger use something bigger. keep in mind when u use color led 's there not as bright as white ones. good luck!

Nice work. I'm all about DIY projects. Let us know how they mounted inside the headlight.

where the ends of the lights meet the plastic I drilled 2 small holes ans used a small light piece of metal to strap them down. you could also use double side tape.

Thanks took the headlight assembly out last night. Any ideas on which light bulb is best to replace the middle running light with. I tried a blue one but it is still yellow compared to headlights.

Thanks, I did a little reading in older posts and I believe any 194 series bulb will work in the running light spot. I am going to use a 194 series blue led. The regular incadescent blue bulb is still yellow compared to the headlights.

i try not to think about people like that,, when i have more important things to do ,, like re arrange my sock drawer!
PS i was thinking maybe use the reflective tape to secure the wires from the LED that go around the edge of the light?

Easy sjobbe... I'd like to think of this forum as an "Adult & Well Educated" one... If you feel like bashing someones creativeness I'm sure you can find a hayabusa site out there, Just be sure to wear full leathers and keep a starbucks cup in your hand.

yes, thats what I did. it puts more light back into the eyes. I made mine with red l.e.d.'s but they dont show up as well in the daylight. verry important dont forget to use the resistor. if u dont it will burn the led's out quick(i did it) and make sure u make the small cutts in the ring the more u make the more light gets reflected forward.
