A great day today
Came up on a cop going 96 in a 65 according to his rear radar (it was a fast bend on the hwy) He let me off w/a warning, that NEVER happens!
Went out, camera connected ready to go but wanted to preserve the 20 min of film and 30 min of battery life I had  so I never actually used it...because I never knew in a 1 hour ride each way to and from the strip when the runs were gonna happen :? . Well, shoulda had it on cuz the runs were non-stop.
No spray by the way
Played w/the 12 again...same outcome as last .... I slowly and steadily float away
Ran up on 2 zx10Rs...riders about 170-190 lbs. Pulled em both over and over from 2nd gear rolls. Got more fight outta the Gixxer 1000s. 1 was a K6 bone stock. Whenever we'd hit they would usually float up ahead till end of 2nd :? ...and I'd ALWAYS come around em. One was a lowered, stretched 1000, the other was a newer bone stock one. The stock newer one, rider about 170-180? The stretched one ... 220?
Nice open stretch, a 10R and both Gixxers.....so I squeeze up. Everyone takes off about 2nd or 3rd. Guess who's in 5th Off they go and I pinned it in full tuck....after a few seconds they stop pulling....
.... a few more seconds and I'm catching up.....aw chit...I'm gonna pass....stand up on the pegs near end of 5th gear around 170 actual, hands clasped around the grips hard to stay on, hemet feels like it wants to be ripped off my head, I look over as I pass the 1000s....keep it pinned a good solid 6-8 seconds to nail the point home
Everyone was giving me props but I gave them just as much back. Guys w/less HP and heavier riders were putting up a fight...
Problem is I always reel em back...
Still undefeated on the streets (and no, dave, I don't count Buck jumping out in front wins  )
I am anxiously awaiting needing to even spray to pull away or catch up to others.
As of now, 175 RWHP, a 125 lb rider, a 17 tooth sprocket, no signals/mirrors, lowered, a BMC race filter, pc3, muzzy pipe and Bear Stacks is all it takes to keep the 12 up top.
My days are numbered....someone's gotta have a 60 shot, or a big bore, or a turbo, or a combo or those....someone who's willing to stay in it and who's motor holds together....
but until then
8) Das right 8)
I noted 2 times I shifted into 7th gear  because I'm still not used to topping out so quickly  I feel on top of the world! I love the fact that I continue to bring respect to the zx12r....and even though I've said it 1000 times...
