depend on what dealer you go to.....the numbskulls here would probably take a week to do it. Fixed my already anyway. But from what i can recall about it....my buddy (the guy i bought my 12 from) had got a notification 2 weeks after he bought it brand new in 02. But i still had to do it again in accordance with how you guys did it on the forum here. I think all they did was change out the item in question for a new as someone has already stated on here.

Ok, I know this is an old thing, but I while I was tinkering with my bike today, I noticed some oil up in the tail section on the stator connector. I remembered the threads on the recall, so I checked to see if my bike had the recall done. It has not had the recall done. I am wondering if anyone happens to have a copy of the instructions from Kawasaki to fix this, or some pics of when you fixed your bike. I have not had great experience with my local dealer, so I am just going to do it myself. Thanks

I have the same thing going on with my bike now. It's at a stealership in VA and has been sitting there for almost 5 weeks now. Apparently, they are waiting on Kawasaki to manufacture the part. WHAT GIVES????

...on my way home last night, noticed the dash lights and headlights flicker ever so slightly.

Guess it's time to check that stator connector thing...

Maybe do the "crankcase vent mod" also...

( just what I needed one MORE thing on my to do list )
