While reading the replies to my ZX12R Story post, I saw a mention of a recall on the Fuel Petcock. Was this for the 2001 model year? I just picked up a new 2001 a dealer had sitting on the floor and knowing dealers, they probably didn't service it if they didn't have to. Shop time cost money, ya know?
BBoy - As far as I know it was just early models (2000's only). Mine was included. You can call your dealer w/ your serial # & double check, but I'm pretty sure no '01's were recalled for that problem.
The problem had to do with a crack that could develop in a tube inside the original petcock, allowing a leak of fuel (possible fire hazard) They were pretty thorough in notifying all owners of affected models, I think.

Yup, just the 2000's. The only recall I can think of for the '01's was the valve stems.
Go to Kawasakis website if you ever have recall worries. There's a page you can enter your VIN on and it'll give you the run down of any existing or past recalls on your bike.
I think you are right Blitz, The valve stem nutz, fuel gauge, and fuel petcock.
