Can anyone tell me the deal on the MPS auto air shifter. If i am understnading this thng can be set to shift your bike at any given rpm, but if need be you can push button shift at any time. So basically you can just get a good lanch an hold on for the rest of the ride. Or if you need to get a good quick shift you can still use the old horn button shifting
you can set any air shifter up that way if you have a shift minder, or the NLR system........., it is nothing new, all of the bracket racers do it. That is why you dont see as many shift lights on the serious bikes, they dont need it.
shit thats when ya needed it most... i guess i used to short shift alot b4 i got into the MEAt and stood there ... wif lite it allows me to shift at the correct point without keeping an eye on my rpm's...
I have one and I whooped a busa's ass so bad they cried cheater. Any human intervention that you can eliminate the better off you are as well as consistent. I just twist and hold on nos stage 1 is in the throttle.... and the slider is on the way next. BTW none of these items are legal in santioned racing but I str^$t race Every race is a 50\50 shot at prize money.......
Ps... If you are running dry gas(nos) you don't wan't to kill the engine vi fuel to shift...... NOS minus fuel spells trouble. I don't know for sure but I don't think it will work wet either because wet supplies its own fuel so the bike wouldn't unload for the shift on the spray. In auto mode @ about 50ms w/ a high pressure shift system it will chirp the tire every gear shift. Just my .02
Also i am a little confused on what you meant about the engine kill/ O know NO2 minus fuel= kaboom. When your bike shifts doe you crack the throttle to go off the juice and then whack it back open once the bike shifts :?:
I have a one stage dry triggered by the horn, but i am going to switch it over to the starter or over to WOT switch once i buy my shifter.

Full auto is allowed in Prostar, NHRA, and all PRO bracket classes that I have ever run. Some guys choose not to use it, some do. It is not legal in shootout though. I assume that is which class you were referring to.

My wot switch is my trigger. Thats why I kill fire(spark) and not fuel. If you kill fuel on a wet system and not fire it will never shut off to shift. If you want to kill fuel you will need a window switch to operate nos its the long way around. IMO The whole kill fuel instead of fire thing to prevent back fire during shifts is virtually eliminated with my autoshift but I will find out once I add the wet stage on top of the dry. As of right now it doesn't pop when it shifts
Bishop..... I have the autoshift box on my bike. It works great. You'll need to get a box of MSD rpm chips. Put the rpm chip in that you want it to shift at and hold on They come in a package of 5... Get the 11,000 range.
