Making of the ZX-12R Silver Books, Shipping while they last

Kawasaki Canada has been very gratious by donating their remaining Stock of the Making of the ZX-12R Silver Books to ZX-12R.org for a minimal charge. ZX-12R.org thanks Canada Kawasaki for this.

I will be paying a ton for shipping to my place, but if people are interested I would ship them out to cover the shipping expense.
Perhaps with the next shirt order.

Let me know who is interested. I may need to charge a couple bucks to make up for the shipping if only a limited number of people are interested.

These are the original books that were shipped out to a limited number of people for the 2000 model of the ZX-12R. Part of the book is online but having the book is great with a ton of information and awesome pics. It is very well done.

Get one before they are gone forever.

***************************
Update
***************************

OK everyone. I have the books, and I have the price for shipping them to the U.S. Anywhere other than the U.S. I will have to check out shipping on a one on one basis.

The cost for shipping 1 book to the U.S./Canada is $9.00 U.S.
The cost for shipping 2 books to the U.S./Canada is $15.00 U.S.
The cost for shipping 3 books to the U.S./Canada is $19.00 U.S.

The cost for shipping 1 book to the UK/Finland is $12.00 U.S.
The cost for shipping 1 book to the UK/Finland is $17.00 U.S.

The price for the book: handling (driving to and from the post office), packaging, plus the price I paid for the books: $13.00

Total price including shipping to the U.S./Canada.

1 book : $13.00 + $9.00 = $22.00 U.S.
2 books: $24.00 + $15.00 = $39.00 U.S.
3 books: $33.00 + $19.00 = $52.00 U.S.

Total price including shipping to the UK/Finland.

1 book : $13.00 + $12.00 = $25.00 U.S.
2 books: $24.00 + $17.00 = $41.00 U.S.

Just email me with Silver Book in the Subject line. If you can pay with Paypal, and your shipping is listed above, paypal me the money to easyrider@zx-12r.org and make sure to send me your shipping address and login name. I will be able to get it out much faster.

Thanks,

Easyrider

Also note that the online version doesn not contain everything that the hardcopy print does.

I'd take another one Dale.

I already have one. But I would get 2 or 3 more for that price. That way I could keep 1 mint and give the others as gifts. :D

This book was a gift from Kawasaki to the first buyers of the ZX-12R. It describes the development of the bike through quotes of the people that helped create it.

It is going to cost quite abit for them.

I am not sure of how much the shipping will be for each unit.
It is going to cost me $250 to get them shipped to me in bulk. I am likely going to be stuck with a ton of them.

Sorry for not being clear.

Yes I am going to do it. It would be a waste for the books to go in the garbage. I am not sure where I will be storing the books, but I told them to ship them.

The books should be shipping soon.
It looks like they don't want me to "charge" for the books as they are a "gift" from Kawasaki. However it is OK to charge for shipping and an administration/handling fee (i.e. the time to take the order, cash the cheque at the bank, buy packaging, ask for the mailing address (people seem to miss this data ) drop off the package at the mailbox.

Soooooo I may have an administration fee on top of the shipping to cover the costs of the books. So far it looks like there are people interesting in buying about 20 books, that would be about $12 each for administration fees plus the cost of shipping. The books were $48 retail, not a bad price.

I will let you know when I get them.

Thanks,

I think people who formerly moderated, and helped make zx-12r.org the great site it is today should receive like five of them for free along with three new white/red zx-12r.org t-shirts.

How you like that for self serving selfishness Canuck?

I need to meet a minimum volume of shirts with a similar color.
The green is the standard Kawasaki color and in the last 4 years there have been 2 many color schemes to support for the shirt artwork. If there is an overwhelming support for a particular color, say silver. Then let me know if you can get at least 30 shirts for that color then I can add that to the list.

Easy,
As a new ZX12 owner,I would definitely like a copy or three of this book.
I have a pretty nice archive covering all the bikes I've owned and this would be an excellent addition! :D

The first batch of books has shipped.
If you are interested in ordering the Silver Book for a very reduced price (it retails for $48 , check the price at the back of the book).
When these books are sold I do not believe there are any more in existence. This was the last of Kawasaki's inventory and they wanted to get rid of them, so they offered them to me.
It is an awesome book, great for a coffee table.

Don't miss out.

Corrected: it is not a hard back.

 Oops, you are correct. They are soft back. I will fix it up.

I have been handling them in the hard cardboard cover that comes around each one. In that cover they are hard as a rock. They are soft back when you get them, but good quality.

Thank you, Dale!!! The Silver Book came in! :D

(I just received the Silver Book Dale generously offered as a prize from the site.)

I had high expectations in the first place. But these were surpassed. I'd actually thought, even though it's called a "book" by everyone, that it was going to be a booklet.

No, it is not only a book but a very nice one (yes, softback) with beautiful color pages. There is no way anyone owning a ZX-12R should miss this opportunity.
