front brake light adjustment

Hi guys and gals. I have purchased a new to me zx11 and have discovered that the front brake is not illuminating the brake light. Is there a adjustment that I should try to get it to work. Also the po put full synthetic oil in the bike and now tells me that maybe to be on the safe side I should switch back to conventional oil to prevent clutch slippage. anyone using full synthetic in a 11?

Hope you got it figured out by now. If not, look on the left side of the front brake master cylinder. There are two small wires going upto the brake switch that's mounted on the underside of the brake master cylinder. As for oil any sythetic motorcycle oil should be fine. I've heard some automotive synthetic oils can cause clutch slippage due to the different additives in the oil.
