Supercharged 08 10R BUILD

Hi members, I have came to a point with my gen 3 10R that I absolutely LOVE this platform. This bike has given me the ability to achieve great abilities as a rider that I never thought possible. One thing is that I have reached the end of it's limits from the engine. Been running with the big blocks such as the 14's and Busa's. You can win a race, but your seriously using everything it has.

So to simply make sure this 10R has more power than it ever should need against anything, I'm going the super charger route. The journey will be long and expensive, but i'm come to the conclusion that I will not be happy unless I have 230hp to the wheel.

If you have any good input to share, please do so. I hope you will enjoy the thread. It will be at least a year long process for research, design, and obviously the CASH FLOW has a lot to do with it.

Also, I saw that a company did this for the 04-05 model. Does anyone know exactly why they stopped. I'm also researching what would be different from the gen 1 that would affect the installation of the same kit. The company is no longer in business that built it for the gen 1

I've got no helpful Input for u, but I can say for certain that I'll for sure b watching to see ur progress! Sounds like an amazing project and if u achieve even close to ur 230rwhp number I'll b one jealous sob! I love the 10Rs their just to physically small for me to ride properly. I'm sure with the H2 being blown there will b aftermarket companies following with kits for other ZX models. I hope so anyway... Good luck man I can't wait to see what u come up with!

Thank you. It will be a long road for sure, Mostly due to finances, but I will get this done. As far as the H2, I think it's ugly. Too f'n weird. I would have though it would have looked better tucked in a zx10r frame and body.

...Interesting indeed. I think you need to post this project on a few H2 threads on " this " forum. Take one used 08 zx10r + one $3700 turbo kit= One nervous H2 owner who spend $16,000.

Huh? Supercharger power delivery is not like a turbo. A 10R with a bolt-on turbo, is a 10R with a bolt-on turbo. It's not an H2. And to make it live at H2 power levels will require a full engine build. And probably will never equal an H2 on pump gas.

A turbo 10R is a cool project. If it fits 04-08, it should fit 04-10. I would double-check the fitment.

If a 10R makes 240+ hp on pump gas (and lives for any appreciable amount of time under race conditions) that will be impressive...and require a fully built motor, with ported head, and careful planning. An intercooler would make it a lot more likely.

That's the beauty of the H2. It's overbuilt, from the factory. Same crank, rods, pistons, supercharger, cylinder head (special exhaust ports), supercharger drive gears, valves (etc.) as the H2R. And the low compression and electronics help, too.

What kind of riding do u mostly do? U more a straight line hauler or enjoy the twisties? I'm sure your well aware of this already, but I've ridden a buddies turboed R1 and it was very impressive but soon as we hit the twistie stuff he couldn't keep up with even the noobs on 750s. The way turbos power comes on makes em real tricky when leaned over. Their not smooth at all its like a kick from a big bore power band on a 2 stroke. I do see your point both financially and availability wise, good luck with it I can't wait to see what u come up with!

Looks like they make one for the 6R and the 14R as well....priced pretty close to what the other dude was doing...I'd be curious to see someone give one of these kits a go....
