Switch a 9 for a 10?

I've been reading all I can about the 10 as a possible replacement for my 9. My concern is comfort in the saddle. Guys of all sizes & weight say they are or are not comfortable on the bike and have to put more weight on the wrists. But, nobody ever says how many miles they can do in a day or how many stops they have to make. On a typical day I'll do 150 miles with one rest stop. I also like to do 200-300 mile days and stopping little as possible. I'm 5'9" 150 lb. Love my 9 but I can't stop looking at the 10.

I've never been on a 9, however, at 5' 11" and 180# my 250 mile trip to GA on my 10 was not a problem, especially on GA mountain roads. The greatest challenge was the weight on my butt on the long interstate portion with a 30# pack on my back.

Have any of you tried a Corbin seat on the 10? Is it worth the money?

Mate, I've gone from a 94 ZX-9R to a 2003 ZX-12R and now have a 2007 ZX-10R. I love my 10, but i like how it performs on the track. That being said, i just did a 250 km day trip this last weekend and was comfortable enough. The long stretches took it's toll on the back and wrists but some adjustments en route take care of that.

Get the 10.... It miles ahead of the 9.

Get the 10... You have no worries... I put 300 mile days on my 05 10R without any issues ever in the pain department....

I'm 6ft/200lbs and the furthest I've gone on my 3g 10 was just over 300 miles with fueling stops every 120ish. It's not the most comfortable design for long hauls but is fully capable with just some minor body adjustments along the way.

i have an 07 10r and 2000 zx12, i can only last about 1.25 hours on the 10, about a tank anyway. the 12 is comfy, but no match for the 10 anywhere. i'm 5'9'' 11 stone.

Ok I had a 9 before my 10 and the 9 is a couch compaird to it. I have just bought adj rearsets to try and help with the knees and there is a Corbin seat available to adress the numb bum but with that in mind I would never go back to a 9!
