2007 Versys owners out there?

Hi, I am a Vulcan Classic 1600 owner , but I very much love the Versys too. I have chance to get a 2007 for about $3200.(on Ebay) I am interested in how current Versys owners like their bikes and please post pics. too. There are a lot of them for sale in our area, and Canada wide. Just wondering if people are dissappointed with the bike. It was bike of the year in '08 I believe? I work at a Motorcycle shop and so I have driven an '07 twice now. But am looking for input before the plunge... thanks

I am looking into and 09' since the deals out there are great. I hear they are a dynamite machine. I'm also looking at a Suzuki DRZ-400SM, which gives me a more comfortable seating position with my arthritic hips. The Versys is the best value out there I think though. Just pull the trigger and go!

I have an 09 Versys and i have to say its the bike i've had the most fun and have enjoyed riding more than any other i've owned. I've had from goldwings to dirtbikes. i like the upright seating position if your over 6' you might want mirror extenders and footpeg lowering blocks makes for a more comfortable ride. Mine is an everyday commuter and have taken several 750 mile rides in about 12 hours. Stock seat is not to comfy ordered a baldwin tall seat with gel pad make a world of difference. I'm 6'2" 270lbs and the bike hauls me around with no problems.

Good to know. I rode a 2007 a couple of times and loved it. I have a sheepskin for the seat though. I love my Triumph, but the riding position is more leaned forward and at times my neck does bother me. The Versys is just about straight up. I think I will see if I can sell my Triumph in the spring and pick up a Versys. My Triumph is a '99 with 48000kms and would like to get something newer. I should be able to come out ahead a bit.

Right now I could pick up a 2007 in Edmonton for $3500 with a Givi luggage rack and trunk, but I am just afraid to max myself out at this time of year. It has deep scratches to the left Rad guard, but the book value should still be about $4500 to $4800 on a bike with only 5600kms. Ohhh, soo.. tempting.

Yes I agree. One guy I know with a Versys, just loves the bike. Also, there is some great vids. on Youtube that I have been saving. I figure if I can get one for my next bike, it might be a longtime keeper. The longest I ever had a bike was 5 years. I had a 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100. That bike fit me like a glove. I think the Versys might too. I have really long legs for a lady and so the seat height isn't too much of an issue.

If you should get the versys Ebay is always a good place to pick up good deals on spare parts. and the aftermarket goodies you can get for the bike are endless.
