Ive always run an 80-90w gear oil in my 2 strokes. Ive never had one as small as an 85 but its still the same idea. Ive used honda brand, spectrol and belray. All oils meant for 2 stroke gearboxes. Manuals do state a few different weights being okay to use like 10-30 or 10-40 and they would probably be fine. Different oils can make your clutch feel different. Ive never had a clutch or shifting issue using the above mentioned 2 stroke specific gear oils.
