Me too!! :D:D

Two strokes are an important part of Kawasaki's history... I would be disappointed to learn that we failed provide a place for people to discuss vintage machines like the 350 Bighorn, the Centurian, the A-7, the Trail Boss, ALL THOSE LOVELY TRIPLES...

In my opinion, yes. If not 2-stroke specific, at least a "Vintage (or Heritage)" section, or somesuch...

Many here have (or want) older bikes (many 2-strokes) that don't exactly fit in the current model line-up, but deserve attention...

Years ago, many of us were introduced to streetbikes via dirtbikes, & dirtbikes were 2-strokes. PERIOD.

When I took motorcycle mechanics at Vo-Tech waaaaaaaay back in the day (bet some of you didn't know I am a certified motorcycle mechanic thats never been employed as such) two guys in my class had widow-makers. One '69 500 and one '72 750, both were cherry.

The 500 would smoke the 750 all day long. We drag raced them on three separate occasions.

Then there was the older guy in the class (he was like 30) Hutch who had a highly modified Yammie RD400. That red bitch would smoke every bike in the class EXCEPT for the two Kawi's.

Those triples were some mean mothers in a straight line, but man did they have backbone shake when pushed hard in the curves.

I have had my H1/H2 hybrid street legal (loosely) now for a couple months I think and have yet to take it out on the street. The cops will love the wheelie bars on the back of it...

That be a nice ride there!! Still kick myself for not buying the last year production of the KX500. By that time the 450 4t's had taken center stage and the KX's sat in crates for a good couple of years before they were finally bought up.

Gotta say I LOVE that ride....

If your neighbors don't like, there are other places for them to live.

I wish there was a forum for all Kaw Vintage Superbikes. Try buying a new Kaw where you are not bent over, can still go fast, and not copy a harley....The obvious alternatives are Kz's , and two stroke triples.

The closest one can come to that is the Z1000, which they dropped from the US lineup after 2008 I believe. Also, any of the new Kawis that are Hardley clones are not fast, at least not in my opinion.

Triples forever!!
