Thanks for the good luck messages guys :-) Im out of hospital with a plate and six screws and a very neat line of incision :-)
Monster bruises down my chest.
Seeing the xray and plate I realised how lucky I was, the bone was shattered badly. It just overemphasises that if you are going to come off the importance of good protective gear.

with a best of 208.1 in 1.5 miles
and 204.5 in the mile.

Yes I was amazed I never had a single scratch .Very impressed with the HJC helmet.
I landed face first, rolled onto shoulder, slammed hip down and slid on my back.
Helmet is going in the bin but could go again. Boots' and leathers sre definately traveling again :-)
The scuffs will remind me to think about self preservation and not just speed .
Thankfully the track surface at Santa Pod is super smooth and highly maintained else really could be a different story. Cant thank the staff enough :-)

and yes still hurts :-)
