You want to run me again? How about this, since you called me out last year and wasted my time and money getting my bike ready.... if you want to run me now it's going to be Nitrous vs Nitrous, $250 run.. NO EXCUSES, NO RE-DO'S. I'll tell you like I tell everyone that calls me out... I don't care if you wheelie, spin, miss a gear, hit the rev limiter, lose a shoe, or if your cat died.... 1 run is all you get.

With the amount of time and money it takes to prep and dial in my bike... it's not within my budget to do it for free right now. Please don't think I'm simply "buying the pot", you know I'm not trying to bluff my way out of this.... I just can't afford to drop the $$ on gas, nitrous, testing/tune time w/Sal (his van eats gas too) for "fun" with all the holidays coming up. Aly and I close on the house on the 28th so moving is going to cost me some $$$.... Plus, I just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas... so I'm broke. lol

If you're absolutely serious about getting you a piece, that's what it's going to take to get me out to the 9/10th's right now and I will only race heads up traditional 9/10th's rules.

A safety inspection of both bikes will be done by Sal. Maxton Tech Rules + full front brakes for street use (rear rotor not required). I know you like to run with 1 old warped stock rotor for the light weight, but I'm not going to run on the street with someone who can't stop. I've had close calls where the brakes were needed... Safety first, Speed second.

So what's it going to be?

You want to run me again?

----Indeed.

----Okeedokee provided I can get you stuff on my credit card equaling that amount (i.e. fill up your car, Sal's truck, grub, etc.) since I'm pretty broke.

Plus, I just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas... so I'm broke. lol

----No worries, thats fine mang.

If you're absolutely serious about getting you a piece, that's what it's going to take to get me out to the 9/10th's right now and I will only race heads up traditional 9/10th's rules.

---What is the exact RPM roll from, or range? 3500?

A safety inspection of both bikes will be done by Sal. Maxton Tech Rules + full front brakes for street use (rear rotor not required). I know you like to run with 1 old warped stock rotor for the light weight, but I'm not going to run on the street with someone who can't stop. I've had close calls where the brakes were needed... Safety first, Speed second.

----I think its only fair that I should be allowed to run single brake up front and rear brake stays in tact. If its safe enough for Maxton it should be safe enough for 9/10ths. I have no problem rolling through with pads that have a good amount of meat on them up front but I shouldn't have to change my set-up. I can make a shakedown solo pass to demonstrate "safety".

So what's it going to be?

----In it. You cool with vid, right?

**** Cash buddy, and it needs to be sent to a mutual 3rd party IN ADVANCE so that it's locked in before I start spending my money getting ready. If you bail out for whatever reason or "something goes wrong" on the bike from now till raceday.... I'm not screwed like last time.

---What is the exact RPM roll from, or range? 3500?

**** 3500rpm range. Bikes are geared differently and will not be at the same "lock-in" speed at 3500rpm. So long as both bikes are evenly side by side and under 25mph it's ok.

----I think its only fair that I should be allowed to run single brake up front and rear brake stays in tact. If its safe enough for Maxton it should be safe enough for 9/10ths. **** Maxton has no cars, nobody waiting at the finishline, etc. If a cop pulls into the lot while we're running, everyone is going to haul ass and if you can't stop in time, you're going to kill yourself and quite possibly others. If a car decides to make a U-turn at the finish line and you can't stop... SPLAT. If someone decides to cross the road at the finish without looking... you need brakes to slow down and avoid. I have NEVER in my life seen ANYONE at the 9/10th's with a single front rotor, and for good reason.

This is not up for negotiation, you run a safe brake set-up with dual front rotors or you can go out there alone. Last time I went to the 9/10th's to race someone, he died right infront of me due to a careless mistake and took an unsuspecting racer with him... and you don't have the best safety record, Ali.

I assure you, saving 7lb's of weight up front is NOT going to make or break you.

----In it. You cool with vid, right?

**** Yes, I'm cool with a video

I'm afraid I simply can't do cash in time. If that in and of itself is a dealbreaker then let me know so I don't go bolting up dual brakes. The way I look at it, I weigh a good 100 lbs less than the avg 12 rider, my 12 may weigh almost another 100 lbs less. 200 lbs less + having experience braking from high MPH without panicing makes up for the difference avg heavy joe with less experience braking from high speeds has, especially with the rear intact and using small amounts of rear (before locking up of course).

I'd be willing to get messy and convert back to dual rotors if you are willing to forego the $250 prepayment. If I could, I would, but I simply can't and don't like making false promises.

Let me know whats good. If you end up not wanting to run me head to head, you still wanna head up there and check it out when I go?

Unfortunately, my funds are low due to the reasons mentioned earlier. If I'm going to be shelling out $$$ now, I'm going to need to KNOW for certain there's a payday waiting for me after the race.

It's not that I don't trust you, because I do.... but if you can't pay now you can't play now. I gave you the first time for free (even gave you a sweet consolation prize just for showing up!), this time I simply can not afford to run for free.

As for the dual rotors.... I don't think you quite understand what I'm talking about. It's not a matter of being able to stop. I know you can stop with 1 front rotor, but you can't stop QUICKLY with 1 rotor up front. The rear rotor isn't going to do anything at 180-200mph but lock-up your rear wheel if you're in a panic situation and you're forced to stab it.

Again, I say this only because I understand the risks we take out there and have seen first hand what happens when that "1%" chance actually occurs. I've been around the 9/10th's for quite a few years and there have been quite a few close calls. Even the BEST guys out there have close calls... talk to anyone out there and they'll all have personal "close-call" stories at the 9/10th's. I know Sal and I have a few.

Besides, what's an extra 7lb's going to do for you? Do you really think it's going to make a significant difference? Let's be real here, Ali.... unless you're running over 210mph, you're not going to beat me heads up Spray vs Spray. So why argue about brake set-up?

If you're looking to get in a N/A vs 60 shot run afterwards.... you can forget it, lol. I've got a fast N/A 12R but in the end it's still N/A and only 88cc's larger than yours.

Ali, I DO want to run you head to head.... believe me, nothing would make me happier.... but I can't (notice I didn't say "won't") run you for an "IOU" right now. If you simply can't come up with $250 (I'm not making a dime, this would barely cover prep and fuel costs) then I'd be more than happy to watch you run the other guys out there.... so long as you bring dual rotors. (Yes, I'm that serious about the brakes).

Either way, you're always welcome in my home and there will be beer waiting here for you when you get here.

Well, if I get the funds in the VERY near future, I will hit you up directly to give you enough time to get ready, but its a longshot. Regeared the bike and I should have the bodywork mounted up by this weekend, definately not gearing for 210, but then again I'm not gearing for 199 either! I may be able to borrow a ZX9R front brake assembly that way I don't have to mess with the fluids, reattaching lines, bleeding, etc, just bolt the other stock rotor and go. I'm probably not going to run a 60 shot out there I don't like spraying that big that early (stock arm/motor).

I'll take you up on your cribo, brews & Pizza are on me (credit cards rock).

I was just thinking, I wonder how mad they would get out there if I showed up on the 250? Hahaha....

I haven't been out to the 9/10th's in a while. I'm going to take an educated guess and say I'll be running 201-202mph N/A in the 9/10th's with this cooler weather and 210-212mph on a conservative nitrous set-up judging by the 201mph I ran at Texas with a broken power commander and no datalogger..... in the 1pm sunday heat.

Oh, and if you showed up with the 250.... they'd probably never notice. Those guys are looking for fresh meat on 1000's and Busa's, a 250 wouldn't even make a blip on their radar. lol

Mounted the tail light on.

Full front brakes should be on by tomorrow afternoon.

Hopefully remount the bodywork on Sunday, after I have the front lip of the catalyst seat milled down a little. It curves up a little now as you can see and cuts into my dick...not that comfortable.

and make a few motor passes just to make sure everything is ok. May as well log a little too.
