Well 2 weeks ago I went to the "local" track with my father and we ran his 9R. Neither of us had ever been before. This week I finally got my 12's forks redone and took it out. The place was packed due to a pro weekend and we only got three passes!? Got some work to do but I'm happy considering I'm a complete rookie. .............1st pass......2nd pass......3rd pass 60ET........1.9338........2.0230.........1.9350 594ET.......6.6659.......6.7219.........6.5273 1/8ET.......7.0890........7.1350.........6.9380 1/8mph....106.36........108.94.........109.55 1/4ET.......11.2446......10.7219.......10.5252 1/4mph.....97.87.........136.40.........135.56 And before you ask WTH I had brand new riding boots on. The ankles are not all that flexible and I unknowingly preloaded the shifter after the 2nd gear shift. Went for 3rd three times before I wrote off the run and basically coasted through the traps. Need to get these broke in better. Now to get some practice runs before the end of the season so I can get into it more in the spring!! This is addicting  BTW for what it's worth my first time ever on a track on my Dad's 9R 2 weeks ago netted me only a 11.30 best run at 125.69 in 4 runs. He's running 11.5-11.8's right now and improving. |

Good job. You'll get better everytime you go there. 9's are coming.

Fun ain't it? :) Based on those times it will be some time till you go 9s....but lowering it, a 17 tooth front and removing some weight off the bike will help. How much do you weigh? Many of us launch around the 5-6k area. I used to launch 4k and run 1.8 60 ft times....going up and some practice got me in the 1.6s. A. | |
