forked up!!

hi all im new here,my name is richard.im currently doing a full top to bottom rebuild on a 1996 kx500 and mostly everything is done except for the front end. now this is where the fun starts,
when i bought this bike as a non runner 10yrs ago i noticed the front forks were usd with blue anodised tops i seem to remember the previous owner saying they were from a kx 250,and were fairly knackered then.ive been looking for ages for a set of 500 forks, but they are few and far between and not very good at that. so i was wondering if it was possible that another set of 250 forks would be ok to use as there seems to be loads of those about!.any help with this would be grately recieved regards richard

There is a pair of fork tubes on eBay right now out of Oregon USA. Not sure how to get the link to post here. Just type in KX500 forks they are about half way down the 1st page.

Good luck! Those are nasty bikes, I've always had 250s but my buddy is all about his KX500. That things a beast!
