Real nice setup. Couple questions

Is that a cup type gauge mount from Autometer? Also, what size(diameter) is the gauge? What type of tubing are you using to supply the gauge with?

thanks

Bottle angle is not very good. For best results the bottle should be straight up (with a tube) or valve down,no tube.

My nozzle is front center of the airbox (in front of the fuse box) the theory is better mixing, more equal distribution.

Equal distribution or the lack of it with a dry shot. Is the biggest limiting factor.

i cant search the forum and reg is disabled could you post a link to what your talking about if its the muzzy spray bar would be nice to find one without buying the whole kit but with both my nozzles spraying in a X + pattern i think the distribution is very good

i did try them before the filter but it does not hit very hard and does lag a little
With what i have now it hits hard and fast

ive been lurking and reading everything on this forum for a long time and from everything ive read so far ive rolled all the knowledge from this place into my project but i can still make mistakes as for the bottle placement i know its not ideal and i may change ther location in the future
if i can find a place that doesnt interfear with my leggs or the suspension lol

Spraying in front of the filters has nothing to do with the hit. Bottle pressure, volume (bottle angle) and line length, from the sol. to the nozzle determines how quick/hard the spray hits.

i really doubt the cylinders are getting equal amounts, which is why i mentioned the spray bar. (muzzys isnt quite the same, but their setup does pretty much the same thing)
i was talking about this type of thing:

Quote:
Dry Nitrous Spray Bar. Designed to bolt to the top of the Airbox. There is no disruption in airflow and no drilling into the velocity stacks. Can spray from 20 shot to 300 shot. Will fit all Suzuki sport bikes. ZX12,ZX14 and ZX10

I would love to see how it all fits in the 12 if you choose this set up. I’m wondering if you need to run short stacks with it. Please keep us all informed.

im not running nitrous (yet) but i would try this or something similar if i was using anything over a 40 shot. it says it fits, so i doubt you need all short stacks. why dont you ask him on psychobike?

NOS set-up..

I'm getting ready to install that same spraybar on my 14. (Nick makes good stuff), should work great. Had the same set-up minus the spraybar on the 12.

My bike wont be getting a spraybar. im setting up a custom wet kit(found one cheap from a friend), and if/when i put a small(25-30hp) dry shot on later it will just be one dry nozzle mounted in each ram air tube. the goal is to keep as much out of the airbox as possible to maintain the best airflow when running on just motor(which is most of the time)

Interesting point about keep the flow to the cylinders unobstructed. I like the way this spray bar looks but would most likely go with the Muzzy style bar...seems to be less obstructive...but i could be wrong.

this is what i have done on my wet kit so far in the air box. the majority of the lines, the solenoids, distribution blocks are outside the air box/frame. just the foggers and brackets and a small length of line are actually in the airbox. the lines run pretty much straight back to 8 seperately drilled holes(sealed with silicone) in the back of the airbox. the lines will be replaced by stainless hard lines as soon as i recieve them from Gixx1300R(the guy selling the spraybars). you could do a dry kit this way too, just run the proper dry nozzels. just be sure to have a nitrous map in your PC. in my opinion it would distribute nitrous as evenly as a spraybar IF done properly. if you dont know what you are doing, the spraybar is a proven and tested option

this is the Nozzle you would want to do a dry kit that is set up similar to my wet kit

the custom nozzles at the first of the thread that slykitty has would not distribute nitrous evenly. it may be ok for a small shot(25hp), but dont risk it guys. if you use a nozzle like that, have it way up in the ram air tubes so its evenly mixed before it even gets to the air filters

Talking

well, my setup works. proven today at the track. prev best was a 9.39@147 on motor. today i ran a 9.02 @ 157. should run 8.90s with better tuning, it was super rich.
