Bottle

How long or how many passes roughly can you get on a 1.25 bottle?

how long it will last depends greatly on jet size, with a single .032 or a pair of .022's about 15 seconds per lb.

Well..lets look @ it like this:

How many seconds are you spraying for?

Stock 1/8 mile I was doing 2nd on the limiter mid-high 6s.

Stock 1/4 was low 10s. So we're talking about less than 4 seconds per pass essentially spraying on the 2nd half of the 1/4.

So that may help you calculate how long your spray will last.

40 shot...15 seconds per lb. The bigger the bottle the better. You decided on a 1.25...nothing against it....but i think going 2.5 would be worth the extra cost and "making it fit".

Once its 1/2 empty you'll feel it get weaker soon.

A.

P.S. Once you start spraying in 2nd that'll drop down a bit too of course

I haven't taken mine to the track, but my 1.2 seems to last quite awhile around town. I don't stay on it though. Probably at the track I'd go through it pretty quick as shiphteey mentions. 40 shot here.

Naw you can do it on smaller bottles, but after a few runs the bottle pressure falls off..

You made it sound like a small bottle wouldn't hold pressure for A 1/4 mile run. It will, just not very many of them....

Sean yuo could always upgrade to a larger bottle later. Check it out for a few runs, it wont kick you in the ass spray in second, third first if you want to be cautious. with an 8 inch stretch it might work in first after clutch is let out, be careful like that though and you will have to shift much sooner the tach will rise noticeably quicker. Let off to shift and resume into 3rd. You should be able to launch at 5000 without major ordeal start by slipping clutch out. Get faster at that and soon you'll be almost dumping it. It takes a few practices to get timing of launch and run and when to hit nos and shift. An extra facet of coordination involved. Maybe practice of sequence at home get memory pathways. It was my biggest obstacle of when and how fast etc. This will be easy for you.

I have a 2.5 lb bottle but it is a tight fit and takes up the entire trunk space. I would get a 2 lb bottle next time if I did it again. I do get quite a few 1/8 mile runs with it though, which is cool but I prefer to have space int he trunk for pc, progressive controller, etc.

sean hit up ebay. Punch in 2 lb nos bottle or 2 nitrous there has to be somethig. I just mounted my 2.5lb on the outside on the footpeg mounting holes for the rear I like itbest so far. I am working on putting the second one on the exhaust side. Should look pretty good then.
