I think Entropy made over 220 with his 1427

I'll post numbers on mine IF my mech ever gets my bike together :?

Just got back from the shop, my lil 1199 cc made 175 w/muzzy pipe!

They actually had a 1427 @ the shop, I think a Muzzy pipe on their too that made 201 RWHP  Silver one that had a luggage rack, some OLD guy owned it and wants the owner of the shop to run it @ Maxton in Oct! I may have to go back out there w/a 60 shot and put the smack down on that big 14

hey chanman, you ready for some Rita-Rain???

shiphteey,
yep, NA 1427

I've got dyno sheets ranging from 205-229, max tq from 115-128; depending upon specific motor/exh setup, fuel, rear wheel used, weather, how grouchy the dyno felt that day.

I'm also an OLD guy, and if you are looking to put the smack down on me & my 1427 with yr 1199/60dry shot, you can do it at 1/4 mi. I don't get to Maxton. BUT, I am pretty easy pickings at the drags :D

Haha cool...keep in mind though there isn't much fun to be had in the DC area with a 12 save for some nearby dragstrips...but again if you're willing to run the mile in October 29th that would be wicked. Indeed I think you are closer....only $125 to go BALLS OUT! DOOOOOOOOOOOO IT!!!!!!!!!! We can even take "wagers" from other members on the board, LOL!

I have a question, and I hope this does not offend Entropy, but, is the expense worth it for the big stroker motors, when you can just do a 1270, 1285, or 1317, and get within 10 to 15hp or more with cams........

Big bore short stroke is the way to build a motor anyway, Look at Pro Stock cars......., or the old "special" 427 bb chevy, the short stroke that is illegal in NHRA Stock and Super Stock.......

I am leaning real hard to a 1270 and 1317. Can the stock block be sleeved, if so, we can do it in house and save a ton of $$$$$$$$$$

Nox,
hard to offend me :D

The dyno reports you hear of 1270, 1290, 1317 making 200hp peak are pretty "interesting"; all sorts of numbers.

I've never seen even one of those stock stroke dyno champions making mph at the track like a stroker.

Also, don't forget the tremendous jump in hp the stroker gives you at lower rpm.

So what you are saying is the 200 or 220 with cams that Muzzy is claiming in the phone with their 1317 kit is bunk?

they have fed me bunk before, so no surprize there.

Now, can the stock block be sleeved, to like 1270 or 1287? If so, I may go for it......

I still gotta get the PC for brocks pipe, I aint running a pc yet....., and still turning 123 and 124 in the 1/8th!!!
