no offence taken!!! NX solenoids are better than nos anyday. truth be known alot of nos stuff is a copy of NX..as for the muzzy and shcnitz stuff, they are good kits but you can't step up the power much more than about 50hp...a dry system is just not good for much more than that due to fuel management on the new efi bikes...a wet system on the other hand will yield much higher gains if wanted(25-150hp)...

Just wondering... What would be a good set up for a everyday bike. I'm not looking to hurt my engine, I only want a system with a little kick. Prefer to have something very safe for the bike. Dry or Wet? What type of safety equipment? Thanks in advance for the help.

You folks remember the pics on the internet from the guy with a NX system in his car (they were out there maybe a year or two ago)? He had accidentally left his bottle warmer on and an hour or so later, kaboom! His site showed all the pictures of the remains of his car, the fire trucks, damage to his garage, etc., and a description of his impending battle with NX to get them to pay for a new car and garage. I think the issue was that he had a modified blow-off valve and may have nullified any warranty. The carnage was impressive.... its amazing how much potential energy can build up in a bottle of compressed gas.

I run a wet NOS set-up

I bought the system used to run my zx-11.($350 cdn )

I took the system off the 11 and sold the bike waiting for the 12.When i got the 12 I installed the NOS set-up.

I drilled and tapped the throttle bodies for the foggers at the vac line ports for the kleen air.

I have the timing backed off 6 degs and never change it.

I run 2 1lb bottles under the seat.

I use 18/22 jets and run 220hp to the wheel.

I have a Muzzy ti oval can with stainless pipes.

No pc or pc...r installed.

The horn button is pushed around 6-7000 rpm and backed off just before rev limit.

Troubles with system:

A bitch to change jets.I will install a controller to fix this.

Never ever have enough nitrous with you.No known fix for this with the $'s I have.

CPZX12R, i think the wet system is a safer system to manage simply because you are not depending on the ecu to manage the fuel for the nitrous system also...you will be able to control the amount of fuel thru the jetting...safety equipment: get a fuel pressure monitor switch along with some form of progressive control...we have it all...

One solution is to get the Corbin Beetlebags and put a 10lb

bottle in each side?

I'm not sure that one or the other setup is safer or better it depends as usuall for anything on the user and how the user was instructed to use it.

Most are looking for about 20 hp gain maybee up to 40 hp, this will likely cover 85% of potential nitrous users here. The other 15% likely already have and want to upgrade or are just looking for killer power without the knowledge or riding capability to use it.

Now I don't mean that as a put down I'm just saying that there are some that just look at the numbers and go wow I want that.

On most applications it is a well known fact that you can put nitrous up to 40% of STOCK motor hp without any internal mods. So with that in mind anything over 60 hp is in to money.

Again I don't mean any disrespect to anyone just trying to keep everyone on a similar page with general nitrous knowledge.

As for the guy who blew up his car I think Forest Gump said it best "stupid is what stupid does"

Just my 2 pennies.

CPZX12R:

If you want a little kick the dry nitrous kit I have displayed set at 20 hp is amazing, the only thing you need is a full exhaust or remove the catalytic from the stock pipe. 20 hp kit is very reliable and very safe just remember to only have the bottle on if you intend to use it. The solonoids are not meant to be under pressure for ever and they do require rebuilding, the kits are cheap just seals basically. The longer you leave the bottle on the more stress on the solonoid, I have solonoids 2 years old that work perfect so don't panic.

Do you mean mount it there or pressurize the arm itself.

Sorry guys, this is like day 6 out of 17 in a row and I'm tired already. If you're having your swingarm extended, Frank Adams will put a mount on the swingarm for either a N2O bottle or air shifter tank. Go to www.psychobusa.com/ also see, www.maxv.motorpage.com/ he will also add tank mounts. Hey King, how would the aerodynamics be with the "scuba" set-up?

They wouldn't let me take it the wind tunnel so I wasn't able to see hee hee. If you are going to drag race check the track you go to most want the bottle mounted within the frame now for safety. And I found the dragbike zone thanks for your comments on the nitrous much appreciated.
