| If your looking for custom Leathers...
I highly recommend Gimoto. I just received mine a few days ago and couldn't be more pleased with the fit and quality--top notch product. Being in the United States, I went through the North American distributor, Gimoto Canada. If your in the market and in North America, I recommend you shoot Rob Ferrier an email or give him a call, he was very helpful and responded at all hours (seemingly), even when he was visiting the factory in Milan Italy. I've attached some photos of my new custom Gimoto leathers vs. my off-the-rack alpinestars--the new leathers are two pounds lighter because of the better fit:

I got all the forms and information from here: GiMoto Standard Sizing When I was done having my wife take my measurements (according to the forms on the link above), and then retake them, I created some PDFs of everything along with notes and a printout from the customizer page to indicate all the color, aero hump, script, and venting options. The page with the different suit styles will have the prices along with a currency converter. Mine is cow hide with custom color design and custom sizing; all the suits are available in kangaroo as well but they are a bit more expensive. All said, it took three weeks from the time I ordered to the time it arrived.

I've looked into many brands including Vanson before making my decision to go with Gimoto. For a totally custom design they [Vanson] are quite a bit more expensive than Gimoto and their semi-custom designs are a bit too retro (circa 1980) for my personal taste. Helimot is also quite a bit pricier than Gimoto. I spoke to Helmut of Helimot for about an hour (he's a great sounding guy who absolutely loves what he does) and he was telling me for an average suit, it costs him over $500 just for the leather, not counting zippers, armor, lining, padding, pucks, Velcro, Keprotec, and labor (incidently, he mentioed it takes about 40 hours to craft a suit). He also had nothing but great things to say about Gimoto suits and he personally thinks they're one of the, if not the best looking suits out there. He said if it wasn't for the (relatively) poor American dollar, he would definitely carry Gimoto products. For those who are interested: Alpinestars, AGV, Arlen Ness, MotoGP, Fieldsheer, Gericke, Held, Joe Rocket, Spidi, & Teknic do not offer custom fit suits to the public. Some available custom fit suits are: Dainese, RSTaichi, Syed, Vanson, Helimot, Gimoto, Kushitani, & Pilot to name a few. Yes, I spoke to people from all these companies before I made my decision. It also took me over a year to finally get myself to pull the pin and order. Buttering up my wife to the idea of new leathers contributed to some (most) of the delay.

To each there own... I don't personally like the 1980's look of their suits. If I didn't go with Gimoto, I was leaning toward RSTaichi, then Kushitani. Both of those manufacturers have more updated designs than some of the american suits. Also, there is no tax from Canada to the U.S.; shipping was included free of charge.
